Soothing aromas

Step aside frangipan, lavender and rose - in with the new. These basic floral flavours are fading into the last decade's most-wanted scents. If your anything like me, I'm more enthralled to aromatic flavours using atypical combinations of fruits with plants, vegetables with sugar-smells, woods with herbs - list goes on. I once came across a soy wax candle scented with chamomile and sweet peas; an unheard of pair of scents that unassumingly, had managed to flood a 40 meter-square house quite abundantly. On a day to day basis I regularly like to do my homework overseeing a small flame on these soy wax candles giving off an infusion of smell throughout my room. It relaxes me whilst studiously homeworking and knowing that they're soy wax - rather than chemical-dense wax - gives me a piece of mind that I'm in a safe, non-toxicated room. After my wearying studies, I lather le main in lychee/kiehl's hand cream. Fantastic absorbance subtracted by a greasy aftermath.

Recent Mecca indulgences

 Yesterday I bought these two not-so-essential things from Mecca Cosmetica from their range in the city MYER store. When I first approached this 'Roseberry' purfume I had mistaken it for the word raspberry and couldn't smell the difference, it smells just like sweet, aromatic raspberries. It wasn't until I came home and unwrapped the box that I realized it was roseberry scented then began to 'smell the roses'. The second purchase was a cream (metallic-beige coloured) eye colour tint. It is apparently the only brand that actually lasts on the skin in cream form. I'm yet to prove it, and I'm not sure whether the shop assistant was just doing her job or telling it like it is but I'm sure it should do the job considering the money I spent.

Minimal essentials

These 6 products are my 6 minimal essentials in my bathroom right now. I've tried out many different products over the years and I have come to a new conclusion. I am slowly assimilating to more natural products after experiencing my worst complexion from 'Proactiv'. I must admit that it does the job but the chemicals don't do you any justice. You end up with a bleached face and your used-to-be-healthy skin becomes prone and addicted to the chemicals. You could almost say it's a drug for you skin. So I've made the change to 'Jurlique' for my cleansers, creams, masks and mist.
Balancing day care cream, purifying cleaner & rosewater balancing mist all from Jurlique. (Purchase Jurlique at any Jurlique stores, Myer, David Jones and now selling at certain pharmacies)
The other 3 of my favourite products in the first image is;
Moroccan hair oil - from selected hair salons
LANCOME tinted facial moisturizer with SPF 15+ ($60)
M.A.C pre make-up lubricant
these products do the job anyday. They leave your face feeling fresh and rejuvenated and your hair lush and softer than a baby's bottom. I use the Moroccan hair oil in damp hair after showers and sleep with it in over night and you wake up with a new set of hair. I use the Lancome tinted moisturizer daily to school and it has sun protection which will help prevent wrinkles and blemishes in years to come. And the MAC lubricant is amazing, it helps apply any make-up and doesn't leave your skin feeling stiff with layers of make-up.
