Bleached leather

For some reason I would never have thought of a white leather batwing top but I just bought one and I'm thrilled and it's exciting me more than most my other clothes I've bought. I got it for a bargain at $20 - and for genuine leather and being a lined top, it was dirt cheap. I bought it from a sale which was held for the duration of a weekend at the top level of a bar/club space on Russel st. Admitingly, when I got there I was extremely hesitant to walk up 4 flights of stairs to a crammed hidden space but I guess it was all worth while.

GAIA

Not long ago since mum and I went on a relaxing getaway to GAIA retreat owned by Olivia Newton-John, in the hinder-lands of Byron bay. It sure was an escape I will never forget. Amazing service and nutritious food which we indulged in every few hours were what made the trip. I loved the morning yoga session on the highest point of Byron Bay watching the sunrise and the 3km walks to the quaint little village where we found a gorgeous cafe with its own fancy meat cool room.

Painted on

Sprayed on dark red jeans - Zara
Black leather/mesh tee - Topshop
Charcoal fringed jumper - Some days lovin
Leather lace up buckle boots - All Saints
Scarf - Designer brands sale market

I hesitantly drove into the city yesterday morning to take my mum out for a mother's day breakfast. We went to the South Melbourne Market. I was a first-timer there and I adore the place! Amongst some of the crap in markets there are surprisingly some pretty valuable stuff! I scored there glasses from one of the stalls in SO:ME Space for $30. The brand was called 'Plane clothing' - they have about 3 shops in Melbourne. I loved the area around Cecil St. so much that my next post will be entirely dedicated to it. But I really do recommend this place.

In the night

This month's Russh, vintage sparkly shirt, beaded stone and chain collar necklace.

My weeknights are flooded with homework and my weekends are busy doing errands and socialing which gives me no time at all for some Russh reading. This weekend I'm going to set aside an hour or two to sit down and read!
A couple of weeks ago whilst the Sass & Bide warehouse sale was going on, this vintage garage sale seemed to be outrunning them. Approaching the sale, crowds of people with all smiles on their faces were walking out the door with garbage bags stuffed to the brim with their cheap buys. I bought about 5 items for 20 dollars... one of which was this sparkly shirt.
One of my most memorable buys from my Canadian travels was this intricately handmade necklace. It wasn't cheap (at all) but it was worth it! The only thing I'm obsessively compulsive about is checking to see if any of the million chains have gotten tangled.

Chained with rope

It's probably about time for me to put a halt to buying expensive necklaces but it's become an obsession. I've decided I need one in every shade to match my tops. On my can't-be-stuffed days where I'm forced to dress up, I pretty much wear what I do running errands and just add a little chest necklace and it's a job done well. I bought this beauty from  'The Tiny Dancer' boutique on Sydney Rd. Brunswick last Thursday.
