Melbourne food and wine festival in retrospect

Round 3 at Chin Chin! Took the parentals here to see what the fuss was about. No look who's bragging.

The Royal Saxon restaurant on Church st, Richmond. Lovely winery-inspired interior and exterior. We had a lovely classy lunch with squid inced lasagna which was the highlight of the day. Dad devoured one of their pizzas which was also really nice. The only downside was the overdose of salt.

Intriguing meals from the Thai food festival I went to last Sunday at Fed Square. At one stall in particular, they made a fresh paw paw salad with freshly ground flavours and dressing by the order. So many intricate flavours.

I think I'm going to be a tad nostalgic when this Greenhouse by Joost popup restaurant at Southbank is officially gone. It's only on for the 20 days of the food and wine festival and is always abundant with foodies. Their concept in well thought and thorough throughout the entire restaurant. Everything is eco, recycled, reusable and organic - these are the factors that pretty much drew my total attention to it. The place was so packed we weren't able to eat inside with full table service so the only alternative left was to go outside and get things from the bar. We got home made drinks. For example I got a ginger and wattleseed sparking water. It was dry and rich with ginger to sooth the stomach. We also got a pumpkin and goats cheese muffin, and a gluten free almond and orange cupcake.
It was great to know that when I went to the toilet to pee I was contributing to the mustard plants. I felt like quite the philanthropic person.

LMFF 12 in the PM

Heres a few snaps from the nights I attending with friends during fashion week. On Monday I wore a Topshop combo. I think the peacock colour is pretty eye-catching stuff aye?
I unexpectedly found a minor view of me and Rebekah on OHJAMIE blog with one of the model's in the foreground which I vaguely remember being shot. This night, I also met one of my favourite model's who has without a doubt the most covetable clothes - Jessica Steing from Tuula Vintage blog. She was one of the many people I have met that hasn't made the meeting with her awkward, and was very approachable and easy to talk to. She also didn't make out like she had to be at a million places at once and didnt have the time to talk to us.
The night just kept getting better as I met Micah from Raww blog who was fortunately there proud in her front row seats each and every night! I also met her the next night I went and my eyes were contantly gravitating towards her skull (I think?) over-oversized necklace.
Don't worry I still have my backstage photos to come, your not alone I am anxiously waiting for them too...

Mimco Dreamwarp

I think my eyes were drawn more to the surrealism of the background and photographic and editing techniques more than the figure. However Mimco's new 'Dreamwarp' collection is still very impressive. My favourite pieces are the covetable highly detailed and full on pieces that only those few courageous people would dare to wear.

Elly Clay heels

My shoe obsession is resulting into something compulsive. I need to cash some money into the bank before I subconsciously spend it all on shoes! Seriously though, how rad are these shoes. I'm finding all these exclusive unique shoes that I can eventually afford. Which means I'm spending even more of my time researching websites that are selling them dirt cheap.
